Ensor walk
Download the app and take the brand-new Ensor-themed walk to visit all the locations that were significant to the life and work of James Ensor. You will be given information and will be able to see things for yourself at each of these places, using the latest high-tech. Young and older Ensor fans will love this walk.
A new, interactive walk will be launched at the same time as the reopening of the Ensor House and the opening of the experience centre.
The app enables users to take a walk through the city guided by Ensor himself. Throughout the walk, he talks about himself, his friends and Ostend’s rich history.
The trip starts at the Ensor House, taking you to 13 different places. There is unique audio and visual material available for each of these places.
The app is available in five languages (Dutch, French, English, German and Spanish) and can be downloaded for free from the App Store. You pay a one-off fee of 5.49 euros to unlock the entire walk. The walk is free when you visit the James Ensor House. We are currently developing a separate children’s walk.

Opening hours
The James Ensor House is open daily from 10 am until 6 pm.
Closed on Mondays, except on Belgian public holidays and during Belgian school holidays.
The museum is closed on 01/01 and 25/12.

Where to park?
You cannot park at the entrance of the James Ensor House. The nearest car parks are Indigo Parking Centrum and Parking Kursaal 2, which are just 150 metres from the museum.
